Job Description:
We are looking for a creative and organized Junior Game Designer to join our team. In this role, you will help shape gameplay mechanics, design levels, and prepare 3D assets, collaborating closely with senior designers, artists, and programmers to deliver polished, engaging experiences.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
3D Asset Preparation: 3D modeling (Blender), basic knowledge of topology, UV unwrapping, texturing (including baking), importing and setting up assets in UE5 or Unity.
Engine Implementation: Implement and test features in-engine, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize for performance.
Gameplay & Level Design: Assist in conceptualizing, prototyping, and iterating player flows, mission structures, and balance.
Documentation & Workflow: Produce clear design documents, flowcharts, and prototypes; stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, articulate ideas and technical needs, and incorporate feedback effectively.
Problem-Solving & Creativity: Innovate within technical constraints, analyze playtest data, and iterate rapidly to enhance user experience.
Passion & Fundamentals: Strong passion for video games, solid understanding of game mechanics and player psychology, and basic design experience (internships, academic or personal projects).
Bonus points:
Scripting: Familiarity with C++, C# or Python.
UE5 Expertise: Blueprint communication (interfaces, dispatchers), Niagara particle systems & fluids, Network replication basics, character rigging and animation pipelines.
Portfolio: Personal or academic projects showcasing your design and 3D skills.
